Joy + Lamar | Harrisonburg, VA | Winter Wedding

bride and groom portrait in the snow

Joy and Lamar had the perfect winter wonderland wedding! They were married at the Harrisonburg Mennonite Church. Their ceremony was full of personal touches! They sang a worship song as a couple, had a foot washing ceremony, and lit their unity candle. One of the most unique part of the service was when Joy and Lamar released their guests. They saw each guest one by one so they would be sure to have the opportunity to greet everyone individually. I thought it was a nice touch!

At their reception Joy and Lamar enjoyed their donut cake, a trivia game, and the shoe game! The grand finally was their snowy exit!! The guest lined the walkway with cups of “snow” to toss during their exit! It was truly so much fun!

We ended the day at Hillendale park for snowy bride and groom portraits! Joy had a beautiful hooded fur lined cape to wear over gown! It was perfect!!

Thank you Joy and Lamar for allowing me the honor to photograph your wedding!
