Mazel Tov!! I’m thrilled to share with you the beautiful wedding of Alexa and Jason at the Heritage Hunt Golf and Country Club in Gainesville, VA.

Alexa and Jason planned their wedding at Heritage Hunt Golf and Country Club in Gainesville, VA on October 22, 2023. Upon arriving Alexa and I greeted each other with smiles and a big hug! I was so excited for their day! We had been planning out their wedding photography for over a year and went over all the details it was so fun finally seeing everything come together! Everything about their day was perfect!

Alexa and Jason’s wedding was filled love, joy, and cherished Jewish traditions. I was struck by how much attention to detail was put into every aspect of the day, from the venue to the décor to the music. As a photographer who specializes in weddings, I was honored to capture their special day and all of the beautiful moments that made it unforgettable.

The Wedding Venue – Heritage Hunt Golf and Country Club in Gainesville, VA

Heritage Hunt Golf and Country Club is a stunning venue that offers beautiful views on the golf course and surrounding landscapes. The venue’s elegant and timeless architecture provided the perfect backdrop for Alexa and Jason’s wedding.

Jewish Wedding Ceremony and Traditions

Alexa took the time before their wedding to share with me their special customs. This was my first Jewish wedding, so it meant a lot for her to take the time to explain everything. One of the unique customs was the Ketubah signing ceremony, which is a Jewish marriage contract. The couple signed the Ketubah before the wedding ceremony started. The Chuppah, which is a canopy that symbolizes the couple’s new home, was set up at the venue’s outdoor ceremony site. The Chuppah was decorated with greenery, which provided a natural and serene atmosphere. The breaking of the glass is a symbol of the destruction of the Temple in Jerusalem and a reminder of the fragility of life. The circling of each other represents the creation of a new family circle.

The Wedding Photography

As a photographer, it was an absolute pleasure to capture Alexa and Jason’s wedding day. The Heritage Hunt Golf and Country Club provided a stunning backdrop for the photos, and the couple’s love and happiness shone through in every shot. I made sure to capture all of the beautiful moments, from the first look to the breaking of the glass. The wedding photos will be a beautiful reminder of this special day for years to come.

These two shared a sweet first look on the private balcony. The looks on their faces say it all! I will always love first looks! When you get to not only capture but witness the joy and excitement they share with each other, it truly is so special!

The Heritage Hunt Golf Course has this iconic oak tree that was such a pretty backdrop for some of their bride and groom portraits!

The Wedding Reception

After the cocktail hour, the guests made their way to the reception area, where they were greeted with delicious food and drinks! The reception area was beautifully decorated with white flowers and greenery. The centerpieces were simple yet elegant, white lanterns and candles lit on each table.

Alexa and Jason shared their first dance to the song Forever Like That by Ben Rector AND it was choreographed! They had dips and even lifts included! It was sweet and they executed it perfectly! 10/10!

The music was provided by Black Tie, Washington Talent Agency, and they kept the guests dancing all night long. They even sang Hava Nagila for their special dance The Hora! Truly so much fun! The entire reception was filled with joy, laughter, and dancing.
